I found the Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino to be a amazing blend of history and comfort, though there are areas needing improvement. The location in Zamalek is perfect, with beautiful gardens and stunning views of the Nile. However, my room was outdated and not as clean as I expected. The staff was friendly but could benefit from better training to enhance service quality. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but there’s room for growth. 🌴✨

The Deluxe Room I stayed in was spacious but showed signs of wear. The carpet needed replacement, and the sofa was dirty. It felt like it required maintenance to truly meet expectations.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, but some training would help enhance their overall service. My requests were sometimes overlooked, such as not having my single bed made one day.

I had a wonderful stay at the Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino. The location on an island in the Nile was peaceful, and the hotel was surrounded by lush gardens. While my room was well-appointed and comfortable, I did experience some issues with the shower temperature. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a wide range of options, but I found some dining experiences lacking. Overall, it was a nice stay with friendly service.

Rooms

My room was spacious and equipped with all the usual amenities, like a comfortable bed and a digital safe. However, I found the shower temperature a bit lacking, which was a drawback.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, which really enhanced my stay. They even arranged for a late checkout, which was greatly appreciated after a long flight.
Location

The hotel is in an excellent location on the Nile, providing both tranquility and access to the city. It was relatively easy to cross the streets with caution around the hotel.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was really good with a wide variety of hot and cold choices, but I had a disappointing experience with dining at Egyptian Nights, as the food did not meet my expectations.

5.4/10

My stay at the Cairo Marriott Hotel was a mixed bag. The location is fantastic, right on an island in the Nile and close to downtown. The service was generally attentive, but there were times when it felt a bit lackluster. On the upside, the spacious suite was comfortable, and the breakfast offerings were impressive, featuring everything from croissants to sushi. However, a loud gardener woke me up one morning, which wasn’t ideal.

Rooms
8.0
My suite was enormous and very comfy. I loved the ample balcony with a view of the Nile. However, some rooms seemed a bit dated and basic for a Marriott.
Service
7.0
The service was attentive overall, yet there were moments where the staff's arrival felt slow, especially during breakfast. A few more tips on customer service training could really elevate the experience.
Location
9.0
Centrally located on a nice island in the Nile, the neighborhood felt quite safe and had plenty of shops and restaurants around. I loved that I was right in the middle of everything.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was diverse and delicious, with an impressive array of dishes. I even found some lovely sushi options. The outdoor terrace was perfect for drinks, too.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel had great facilities like housekeeping and a car hire service. All the amenities worked perfectly during my stay, which added to the convenience.

6.0/10

My stay at the Cairo Marriott Hotel was a mix of beauty and frustration. While I was impressed by the historic charm and the stunning views of the Nile, the service left much to be desired. Despite being a platinum member, I faced issues with my benefits and the room had a persistent smell of smoke. Overall, the location and facilities were great, but improvements are definitely needed in service consistency.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in had lovely views and a nice welcome fruit plate, but it was apparent that the bathroom was dated and a non-smoking room still had lingering smoke odors.
Service
5.0
The staff was friendly overall, with a few standout individuals, but my experience with the reception was frustrating as they didn't acknowledge my platinum membership properly.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location in Zamalek is marvelous, making it easy to explore major tourist sites like the Egyptian Museum and the Nile River.
Dining
7.0
The dining options were varied and included many delicious Egyptian dishes, but the prices felt inflated compared to nearby eateries.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel had great facilities, including a beautiful pool and garden area, which made for a relaxing atmosphere to unwind.

My stay at the Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino was a mix of historical charm and modern inconveniences. While I loved the historical features and the beautiful garden, the check-in process was chaotic and the rooms felt dated. Overall, it's a large hotel that could use some updates, but there are some fantastic aspects too.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious but felt dated. I had a garden room which was noisy due to being next to a busy road. The cleanliness was just acceptable and I did appreciate the comfortable bed.
Service
7.0
While the staff was friendly, some seemed a bit overwhelmed. The service at the executive lounge was really good, but I did experience issues with checking out and making breakfast payments.
Location
8.0
Situated on Zamalek island, the location is perfect for exploring. It was close to the Nile River and very convenient for visiting various attractions.
Dining
7.0
The dining options were varied and tasty, especially breakfast. I enjoyed some great meals but felt that the quality could be improved considering the hotel's standard.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities like room service and housekeeping were adequate. However, some areas could use more attention, and the overall hotel needs a refresh.
